This is a Flash game that truly utilizes Flash not just as a tool, but an art form. You and your team are a group of very inventive and capable people. You have managed to expand flash's borders by a myriad of a degree, as well as making a revolutionary program in itself. While the game may have a few errors, it s inevitable because of the expansiveness of the game itself. I myself could probably not comprehend the forces you have put to work in your game, but know this: You have my respect. Thank you.
This is addictive...
And you have talent! I liked the gameplay, and the graphics. My only problem was the zombie's walking animation, you should have changed their posture as their speed increased... but besides that, it was great!
P.S. Nice Resident Evil reference!
The posture change, I agree, would have made a more complete experience, but I didn't decide until a day or two before publication that the zombies would even move faster in the higher difficulty. I'm glad you caught Jill Valentine in her old age, and I'm stoked that your only problem was the zombie animation- the sequel will not only feature different types of zombies, but different animations as well.
That was a mentally satisfying game...
But the ending was TERRIBLE. "Congratulations!". No story or anything? The gameplay was fun though, and the constant supply of explosions were easy on the eyes.
You gave it a go, and...
...it turned out okay. Just okay. not bad, good, or mediocre. just okay. ALL YOUR GAME R BELONG TO US.
I give you... a B- for effort >_>
Great game, except for the theme. I'm no pacifist, but I just can't stand all that "Martyr suicide bombing" crap.
Nice game, but I just think its a bit morbid... :P
One note, it doesnt let you release the last santa and let him go boom, the santa variable sets to "0", while you should have just made the variable go down when the santa explodes.
Also, add screams or something!
Make some more games!
Review for Alien Protector
Well, from what I can tell, you didnt really take your time on graphics... however they werent scribbles either; They were mediocre. (At first I thought the spaceship was a pie chart!)
For a space shooter, theres not much to expect, but they could've sounded a little clearer.
Plot-- Well, I'm not too fluent in that language, so make it American, por favor.
Well, I know that actionscripting can be a real bitch, and I give you kudos for the effort, but the dynamics were choppy, and you made it shoot with the mouse and move with the keyboard, even though mouse has nothing to do with aim. This can get confusing.
By the way, throw in an enemy spaceship or two.
Look, don't take it seriously, but I dont think this is NG material. It needs work, but I believe you can do it. Make it pwn us all. :P
(18^3+(48-7*6)) Thumbs up!
Wonderful. This is one of the works of art you can only come by every couple months or so. I loved the music, it really added to the theme! The combo mode, was a little hard to get your name on the high score board (being that you have to get at least ten...), so i suggest making an infinitie combo stage so people can keep trying... and trying... and trying...
Next is the graphics. I loved them. You managed to choose the best sprites and all to keep it Mario-based, and christmas-like.
The sound effects were accurate, and I also liked how you did the preloader!
Lastly, I admire the simplicity of the controls (I didnt even have to see how to play!), and how you laid out your menu.
This game excellent. I suggest you make more games, you have a knack for it.
Wow, thanks for a great review. I'll take into consideration your suggestion about combo mode. I might also reset the scores every 2 weeks or so...
I'm glad you liked everything so much, and I'm glad you admired the controls so much. I did try to keep them simple, and easy, so I'm glad you took note on that :)
Thanks a lot!
However, I'd have to say the gameplay is a bit sloppy...
It's nearly impossible to tell if you are above a square or not...
But if you work with this, it'll be awesome!
Even though this is an excellent game, I do feel as if you DO need to make the plot evolve into more complex situations, instead of a single stick figure hired by some agency has to carry out a few missions...
And, I'd also work on the programming a little bit...
If sam is crouching on the ground, then jumps, he falls through the floor in his jump position!
But, this is only constructive critisism... :D
Hey! Great graphics! Challenging gameplay!
Not only that, but I love the character design option! Keep up the good work!
